Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the intention to donate cash waqf among Muslim depositors in West Sumatra using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and to examine the role of religiosity as a moderating variable. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Muslim depositors selected using purposive sampling techniques and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that perceived behavioral control and religiosity influenced the intention to donate cash waqf, while attitudes and subjective norms did not have a significant influence. In addition, religiosity did not moderate the relationship between the TPB constructs and the intention to donate cash waqf. This study concluded that TPB was only partially supported, while religiosity played a more direct role as a determinant than as a moderating variable.
