Penentu Keberlanjutan Finansial Pada Industri Perbankan Indonesia: Peran Corporate Governance Dan Corporate Social Responsibility

Financial sustainability has become a critical issue in the banking industry as it reflects a company's ability to maintain long-term financial performance amid economic challenges and stakeholder demands. Previous studies have suggested that corporate governance and corporate social responsibility may influence financial sustainability; however, empirical findings remain inconsistent. This study aims to examine the effects of corporate governance and corporate social responsibility on financial sustainability in the Indonesian banking subsector. A quantitative approach was employed using panel data collected from annual reports and sustainability reports of eight banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with the Random Effect Model (REM). The findings reveal that corporate governance has a positive and significant effect on financial sustainability, while corporate social responsibility does not significantly affect financial sustainability. These results highlight the importance of effective corporate governance practices in enhancing the long-term financial sustainability of banking institutions.
